A header goal in the dying seconds from Nickolaus Klar off an assist from David Lopez was the only goal the Hopkinsville Tigers needed to top Carroll County on Sunday at the Bluegrass State Games in Lexington.
After battling back to tie Grant County 2-2 with two goals from Gabe Harton in the opener on Saturday, the Tigers gave up three second-half strikes in a 5-2 defeat. Hoptown followed with a loss to Covington Holy Cross to close out the first day.
