Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds fired a 67 on Wednesday at the Madisonville Country Club to win the Hopkins County Central Invitational; his third 1st-place finish in four tries to start the 2022 season.
Reynolds was one of only two golfers under par in hot and sticky conditions, topping Marshall County’s Trey Wall by two strokes. Both made the turn with a 33 on the front before Reynolds nudged in front over the final nine holes.
Ty Butts was next for the Wildcats with an 82, followed by Haydon Reynolds with an 83. Matthew Leeper shot a 98, and Trevor Terrell finished with a 99.
Trigg County travels to Morganfield on Thursday to compete in the Union County Invitational.
