Caldwell County’s Collin Whittington shot a 75 and was one of two players just one shot behind medalist Hunter Reynolds of Trigg County on Thursday at the Union County Invitational.
Reynolds’ 74 was good enough for individual honors and helped the Wildcats place second in the team standings, just one stroke behind Henderson County.
Whittington and Henderson’s Josh Thompson each carded 75s.
Meanwhile, the Tigers were sixth in the team standings.
Austin Crick had the second-lowest round for Caldwell with an 82. Camden McGregor carded an 86, Ryan Hammett 90 and Carter Whittington 103.
The Tigers are scheduled to be on the course again on Friday when they take part in the Murray Invitational at Murray Country Club.
