He was sort of a man against the field Friday. Todd County Central’s Jase Paul Hampton was the only member of the Rebels’ golf team to travel to Rolling Hills Golf Course in Russellville to take part in the annual Spartan Clash hosted by South Warren High School.
Hampton finished his round with a seven-over-par 79. That score put him in a tie for 21st at the event.
He shot a 39 on the front nine and a 40 on the back nine.
Jacob Lang, of Greenwood, won the day with a round of 67. Rafe Blankenship, of Allen County-Scottsville was second, three shots back with a round of 70.
Greenwood won the team competion. Bowling Green finished in second, with Marshall County taking third.
