Claire Lacy is soaking in the 2022 golf season for the Christian County Lady Colonels. The freshman is also soaking in the knowledge she gets on a daily basis.
The freshman shot a 139 Friday at Western Hills. She was the lone Lady Colonel to bring a score to the board at the Christian County Invitational.
Lacy is part of a rebuilding effort for the girls’ team at Christian County that has sent three golfers on to play in college over the past four seasons.
She’s also part of the future of the new Hopkinsville-Christian County Academy golf team if the timetable to begin athletics at the new consolidated school holds true in 2023-24.
But for now, Lacy is just learning the game under Coach Kenneth Grabara and looking to improve on her score in the coming weeks.
