Lady Warriors Repeat as VolleyJam Champs

The Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors rebounded from a loss to open the day Saturday and claimed their second consecutive championship at the Lancaster Christian VolleyJam. The tournament also saw the Lady Warriors avenge their Saturday morning loss in the championship match.

The day began with the Lady Warriors dropping a tough three-set match to Franklin Road Christian School. Franklin Road took a long first set 28-26. HCA rebounded in the second set with a 25-21 win to force the deciding third set. This one however belonged to Franklin Road 15-6.

The loss set up a match with Community High School, of Unionville, Tennessee. This one turned out to be another three-set, down-to-the-wire battle. Heritage took the opening set 25-23. Community came back and took the second 25-19. The Lady Warriors stepped up to claim the third set 15-10 to move to the championship match and earn a rematch with Franklin Road.

The Lady Warriors opened the championship match strong, taking a 25-19 win in the first set. In a reversal from their first match of the day, this time it was Franklin Road rebounding 25-20 in the second set to force the tournament-deciding third set. This time it would belong to the Lady Warriors, as Heritage claimed a 15-10 win to take the match and the title two sets to one.
