Starting Wednesday night Kentucky basketball will have four games in this ballroom/arena in the Bahamas.
Two days ago I came to the conclusion that I would not be able to go to the Bahamas. I have checked daily for flights and it has just not gotten any cheaper.
I have tried every way to get there short of renting a small boat from Miami. I along with thousands of others will be watching from my couch.
The trip to the Bahamas in 2018 was one I will never forget. One cannot ask for more than the beach, basketball and blackjack all in the Bahamas. The change of resorts and the cost of airfare just didn’t make it feasible this year.
As a way of consoling myself I have tried to list some positives for myself and basically make myself feel better.
Morning coffee on the patio looking out at the ocean watching the ants crawl across the patio. Instead,-I will be having my morning coffee in my garage sitting in front of a box fan due to the excessive heat.
Being in the sun all day drains a person therefore a nap had to be taken prior to tipoff. Not attending means coming home followed by cooking dinner.
Eating dinner after 8 p.m. at a five-star restaurant due to one on one with players and 7 p.m. tipoffs. Not attending means a full belly at tip off and bed shortly after.
Please send positive vibes to my husband as he will have to endure my attitude as I feel sorry for myself over the next few days.

Lastly, to the fans that burned their UK gear, sold all their UK memorabilia on Facebook and vowed to never watch the CATS again, I am glad to see some of you are traveling to the Bahamas. Welcome back to the BBN.
