The Christian County Colonels got their final tune-up on Friday ahead of next week’s opener versus Caldwell at the Stadium of Champions. The Colonels played two quarters each against Kenwood and hosts Clarksville High School, shutting out the Knights and falling to the Wildcats by a touchdown.

The Colonels overcame a pair of interceptions and a fumble to top Kenwood 7-0. A dominant defensive performance and a 36-yard touchdown connection from Jordan Miles to Prince Northington made the difference against the Knights.
A touchdown in each quarter put the Colonels down 14-0 to Clarksville, but after a 35-yard completion to Deameion Leavell down to the 15-yard line, Christian County got on the board on a scoring throw to Jermaine Dove with 2:29 left to play.
The Colonels got the ball back in Clarksville territory after a fumble recovery by Isaiah Davidson, but Christian County coughed the ball up to end the scoring threat.
