What do you do when you find one of your soccer balls has become misshapen?
You make a team trophy out of it.
The Caldwell County Lady Tigers discovered at the Bluegrass State Games that one of its balls was no longer usable. So it became the award given to a top player each game.
In Thursday’s 3-1 win over Trigg County, the team voted the Oblong Ball to Cali Traylor.
Traylor had a goal as the Lady Tigers improved to 2-0 on the season.
YSE spoke with her following the contest at Butler Stadium in Princeton.
