
Christian County had three runners finish inside the top 30 which helped the Colonels to a third-place finish at their season-opening cross country race Saturday morning.
Sophomore Michael Webb led the Colonel contingent with a ninth place finishing in a time of 18:14 over the 3.1-mile course. Sophomore Wyatt Fleming was 25th in a time of 20:32, and J.T. Miles was 29th, crossing the finish line in 21 minutes flat.
Joseph Parker finished in 39th place with a time of 22:07 and Hector Munoz rounded out the Colonels’ scoring with a 42nd place finish in 22:41.
Aiden Knepper was 48th in 23:33 and Connor Reinhart was 73rd.
As a team, the Colonels totaled 104 points to finish in third place out of nine teams. Webster County won with 19 points and Dawson Springs was second with 65 points.
