The Todd County Central Rebels are on a roll. The Rebels continued one of the best starts in the history of the program as they mercy-ruled Butler County 10-0 Thursday evening in their opening match of the Scotties Classic.

The Rebels did not take long to get on the board. Just five minutes in Cam Wheelock hit a nice cross to Zack Robinson to take a 1-0 lead. That score held until halfway through the opening 40 minutes and then the Rebels settled the matter pretty quickly.

Ivan Lopez hit Chris Salazar with a drop pass in the box to make it 2-0. Four minutes later Chi Herrera went on the dribble for an unassisted goal to extend the lead to 3-0. Just three minutes after that Herrera slid a pass across to Zack Robinson, who found the net to make it 4-0.

Herrera went unassisted again less than a minute later, making it 5-0. With two minutes left in the first half, Tanner Robinson scored off a Nando Herrera corner, running the lead to 6-0. And, with under a minute to go in the half, Connor Dulin cleaned up a scrum in front of the net for the 7-0 halftime lead.

The Rebels wasted no time in finishing off the match coming out of the break. Four minutes into the second half, Chi Herrera found Zack Robinson inside the box for the score to make it 8-0. Two minutes later Robinson found Ivan Lopez on the back post for a goal, making it a 9-0 match.

At the 8-minute mark of the second half, Herrera found Chris Salazar with a tight slide of the ball on the goal line that Salazar tapped in to end the match at 10-0.

The Rebels move to 6-0-1 on the season and have given up just two goals in those seven matches.

Todd Central is back in action at the Scotties Classic Saturday when they take on Hart County and Russell County.
