Coming off a big win over Franklin-Simpson on Tuesday, the Todd County Central Lady Rebels were looking to build a little momentum as they hosted the Warren East Lady Raiders Thursday evening. The Lady Rebels fought and hung tight with the Lady Raiders but could not quite get over the hump, as Warren East took a 3-1 win to improve to 6-1 on the season.
The Warren East defense was the story of the opening half, as the Lady Raiders kept the Lady Rebels from finding the net. Warren East was able to do enough to score twice in the first forty minutes and take a 2-0 lead into the break.
Todd Central played the Lady Raiders even in the second half, but could not cut into the lead. Madison Henderson scored her sixth goal in the last three days for Todd Central. Melanie Chamberlaine was credited with the assist.
With the loss, the Lady Rebels drop to 1-4-1 on the year.
Todd Central is back on the pitch Tuesday when they host Russellville in a 13th District contest.
