Runners from Heritage Christian Academy were among those taking part Saturday in the Madisonville Classic cross country meet. Bryce Light ran in the boys race, while Taylor Morris competed in the girls’ race.
Light finished his race in a time of 24:19.52. The time place him in 47th place in the race.
Drew Burden, of Madisonville-North Hopkins, claimed first place in the boys run with a time of 16:51.97. Layden Wagoner, of Webster County, finished second.
In the girls race, Taylor Morris completed her run in a time of 27:19.48. That time put her in 21st place.
Joy Alexander, of Madisonville-North Hopkins, took first place with a time of 20:50.18. Mayci Moore, of Webster County, finished second.
