It was a nice way to rebound from a tough loss Friday night on the road at St. Mary. Led by Alice Smith’s five goals, the Lyon County Lady Lyons rolled to a 10-0 mercy rule win at Mayfield Monday night.
Lyon County controlled the match from beginning to end. The end coming with three minutes left on the clock as Gracelynn Taylor scored the match concluding goal.
In addition to the goals from Smith and Taylor, The Lady Lyons got two goals from Anna White, and one goal apiece from Avery White and Kyndal Hubbard.
Maddie Russell finished the night in goal with five saves. Coach Abby Smith also had praise for the defensive efforts of Oliva Adams.
The Lady Lyons improve to 4-5 on the season. They are back in action Tuesday night when they host Webster County.
