It was a ‘stormy’ night on the volleyball court for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Tuesday. Hoptown went on the road to Mortons Gap and dropped a straight-set decision to the Hopkins Central Lady Storm.
Hopkins Central got things rolling by taking the opening set 25-18. The Lady Storm controlled the second set all the way through, winning the set 25-13 to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
Central would then close out the match by claiming the third set 25-20.
For Hopkinsville, Rilee Joiner had 6 assists. Allison Luttrull had 7 digs, with Amy Toms following with 6.
The loss, which was the Lady Tigers’ third straight, drops Hoptown to 1-3 on the season. The Lady Tigers will be back in action Thursday night when they travel to University Heights.
