
Runners from Christian County traveled across the lakes Saturday as the cross country season continued. The Colonels and one Lady Colonel were taking part in the Calloway County Invitational.
Wyatt Fleming had the best time of the day for Christian County. Fleming finished the course in a time of 19:49.8. That time put him in 23rd place for the meet. Daniel Puckett, of host Calloway County, claimed first place, while Trigg County’s Austin Cavanaugh finished second.
In the team competition, the Colonels finished the day with 196 points and an 8th place finish. Marshall County took 1st place, while Dawson Springs finished second.
Individual finishes for the Colonels were:
Wyatt Fleming – 23rd place
J.T. Miles – 30th place
Hector Munoz – 41st place
Aiden Knepper – 72nd place
Conner Rinehart – 94th place
One Lady Colonel also took part in the meet. Julia Munoz ran a time of 29:02.6. That time placed her 40th in the girls’ competition. Gabby Ault, of St. Mary, finished 1st, while Reese Settle, of Calloway County, took second place.
