The Trigg County Wildcats made a Labor Day trip to Russellville looking to end a seven-match losing streak. And, while they did that, it was not exactly the way the Wildcats would have liked to see it end.

Playing a bit shorthanded with three players out of the lineup, including two of their top three scorers, the Wildcats were able to battle the Panthers to a 3-3 draw.

Trigg trailed 2-1 at the break but was able to outscore the Panthers by the same margin in the second half to force the tie.

The Wildcats had goals from Will Kline, James Garnett, and Alex Hurt. Hurt also added an assist. Caleb Coots also had an assist for Trigg County.

With the draw, Trigg County now stands at 1-8-1 on the season. The Wildcats get right back to action Tuesday night on the road at St. Mary.
