Caldwell County’s Logan Chambliss came up with a big first-half defensive play for the Tigers Friday night.

A Crittenden County pass down the seam was tipped by Jamus Carneyhan and picked off by Chambliss at the 6-yard line. Chambliss made his way through Crittenden players, found an opening on the sideline, and returned the interception 94 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was blocked, but Caldwell led 13-7 early in the second quarter.

Crittenden rallied in the second half to claim a 21-13 decision.

The interception return was the third-longest in Tiger history. Donovan Dame ran a pick back 97 yards for a touchdown in 2001 against Crittenden while Lucas Green had a 96-yard interception return for a score in 1993 at Reidland.

Watch Chambliss take the ball almost the entire length of the field for a touchdown in this Max’s Moment.
