
Cate Blane had a strong showing on the back nine which helped her finish tied for 11th place Saturday at the Bowling Green Invitational.
Blane made the turn at the Bowling Green Country Club with a score of 43. On the back, she had a birdie and three bogeys to come in with a 38. She finished with a round of 81.
The Hopkinsville High sophomore didn’t shoot worse than bogey on any hole and shot even-par on the course’s four par-5 holes.
Hopkinsville junior Anna Fort finished tied for 46th place with a round of 94. She had a four-hole stretch on the front nine where she shot 1-over par.
Lyon County’s Cathryn Brown won the event at 1-under par.
The Bowling Green event is a popular one because it gives golfers a chance to play the course that is home to the KHSAA State Tournament final round next month.
