
Heritage Christian Academy breezed to a 3-0 win over Webster County on Monday night, holding the visiting Lady Trojans to less than 25 total points over the three sets.
Mya Goodwin served the Lady Warriors to a 14-1 lead in the opening set, including six aces. Elle Heltsley had four kills, and Goodwin closed out the set with a pair of kills in a 25-5 win.
The second set was more of the same, with HCA running out to a 10-2 advantage on the way to a 25-10 victory. Macy Lake served up three aces, and Heltsley continued to dominate at the net with five more kills.
The Lady Warriors again built the lead with solid service in the third set. Lake’s three-straight aces made it 8-1, and they never looked back in a 25-9 finish.
Heltsley had three kills in the final set to finish with 12, and the Lady Warriors recorded 21 aces.
HCA improves to 13-3 overall, with the KCAA state tournament coming up this weekend.
