2022 Marshall County Hoopfest Schedule

Both the Lyon County Lyons and Lady Lyons are among the teams that will be participating in the 2022 Marshall County Hoopfest. This year’s event is set for December 1-3 at Marshall County High School.

For the defending 2nd Region champion Lyons, they will be matched up against the South Warren Spartans Thursday, December 1, at 7:00 in Reed Conder Gymnasium.

The Lyons finished last season with a 29-7 record, falling to Covington Catholic by two points in the quarterfinals of the Boys Sweet 16. The Lyons are led by highly touted recruit Travis Perry, along with Brady Shoulders and Jack Reddick. The trio were three of the Lyons top four scorers from last season.

The Spartans were 14-16 last season, falling to Warren East in the opening round of the 14th District tournament.

For the Lady Lyons, they will be matched up against the Marshall County Lady Marshals Thurday, December 1, at 8:30pm.

The Lady Lyons were 16-15 last season, reaching the quarterfinals of the All A Classic in Richmond and then ended their season with a loss to Madisonville in the 2nd Region quarterfinals.

Lyon County lost seniors Calista Collins, Hadlie Butler, and Rose Smith. They do return Lilly Perry and Ella DeFew, the third and fourth leading scorers last season, along with a very talented core of young players for the 2022-2023 season.

Marshall County finished last season 21-6, losing to McCracken County in the 1st Region semifinals.
