Lady Lyons End Skid By Running Past Tilghman

The Lyon County Lady Lyons put an end to their four-match losing streaking with a solid win Thursday night. Led by four goals from Alice Smith, the Lady Lyons “roared” to a 7-2 win over the Lady Tornado at Lee S. Jones Park.

In addition to the big night from Smith, the Lady Lyons got goals from Anna White, Kyndal Hubbard, and Mary Beth Davis. Hubbard also added two assists for the Lady Lyons.

Lyon County, behind three first-half goals from Alice Smith, had a 3-2 lead at the break.

In the second half, the Lyon County defense limited the opportunities for Tilghman and put the match away with four goals.

The win improves Lyon County to 7-9 on the year. The Lady Lyons travel to Madisonville Saturday morning.
