It’s been a strong season on the volleyball court for Heritage Christian Academy, including a state championship in the Kentucky Christian Athletic Conference just last weekend.
The Lady Warriors were one of 18 teams this weekend in the wRECk @ The Plex at the Planters Bank-Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex in Hopkinsville.
They went 2-3 against some stiff competition, moving their overall record on the season to 21-6.
HCA opened the wRECk Friday night with a 25-22, 25-22 win over Calloway County, but then suffered a setback to Owensboro Catholic 26-24, 25-17.
The Lady Warriors returned Saturday morning with a narrow loss to a strong East Robertson (Tenn.) squad 25-20, 26-24.
Next was a setback to Todd County Central 25-19, 25-12. The Lady Rebels went 5-0 in the event without dropping a single set.
HCA then finished off the competition Saturday afternoon with a straight-set triumph over Sycamore from Pleasant View, Tenn.
The Lady Warriors are scheduled to be in action again on Monday when they visit Mayfield.
