
Lauren Mayes paced the Hopkinsville cross country runners at Saturday’s Marshall County Invitational in Draffenville.
The Lady Tiger freshman finished in 21st place with a time of 22:48 over the 3.1-mile course.
Rebecca Wood finished in 36th place in a time of 24:05. Running in just her third meet of the year, senior Harley Samsil finished in 45th place with a time of 24:28.
Kaydon Coats finished in 66th place, followed by Alexis Lovato Herrera in 118th and Selena Martinez in 128th place.
As a team, Hopkinsville finished in ninth place out of 16 teams with 230 points which was seven points behind eighth place Fort Campbell. Lauren Eftink of Cape Girardeau Notre Dame (Mo.) won the race in 19:37 and Madisonville took the team title with 73 points.
