Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds will head into the final day of the 2022 Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Boys’ State Golf Champions inside the top 20 for the event. Reynolds shot an opening round score of four over par 76, placing him in a tie for 19th place after the opening day.
Reynolds is tied with eight other golfers at +4 for the tournament.
He shot a 39 on the front nine and then a 37 on the back nine. A double-bogey on the 9th hole was a tough blow to his opening round score.
Brady Smith, of Christian Academy of Louisville, is in first place at -5. Mason Hamrick, of Madison Central, is in second place, two shots back of Smith.
The final round of play begins Thursday morning at the Bowling Green Country Club.
