Trigg County senior Hunter Reynolds finished his high school golf career by placing 33rd in the 2022 Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA Boys’ State Golf Championship.

Reynolds carded rounds of 76 and 79 to finish at 11-over-par 155.

He had six birdies over his 36 holes Tuesday and Wednesday at Bowling Green Country Club, but shot 39-37 in the first round and 41-38 on the second day.

Reynolds was runner-up in the 1st Region tournament earlier at Paxton Park Golf Course in Paducah before placing fourth in the State First Round at Owensboro Country Club last week.

Brady Smith from Christian Academy of Louisville was state medalist at 4-under 140. That was one shot better than Taylor County’s Seth Smith.

Marshall County’s Trey Wall led far western Kentucky with an 11th-place showing at 5-over.

Madison Central claimed the team championship with a two-day total of 600. That was nine shots better than Lexington Christian. Bowling Green was third (611) and Marshall County sixth (627).
