Midway through the 8th District semifinal match between Hopkinsville and Christian County Tuesday night the score was 0-0. The Colonels scored to take a 1-0 lead and, it appeared at the moment, the momentum of the match. However, the Tigers scored less than 30 seconds later to even things up. Hoptown would go on to win the match in double overtime.
Coach Aaron Hutchinson says his team responding so quickly was a big key as it did not allow Christian County to seize the momentum in the match.
