Caldwell County must have made all the right adjustments at halftime.

After slogging through a scoreless first half at Fort Campbell on Friday, the Tigers took control after the break. The Tiger defense put up some points of its own just 46 seconds later. Landon Davis stepped in front of a Fort Campbell pass and returned it 52 yards for a score. That put Caldwell up 14-0.

Caldwell essentially put the game away when Parker hit Logan Chambliss over the top for a 25-yard touchdown pass with 6:50 left in the game. That extended the margin to 21-0.

Nichols kicked a 30-yard field goal with 3:36 left to make it 24-0.

Gus Fox returned an interception to the 1-yard line, setting up Caldwell’s final score of the night. Carneyhan punched it in on the next play, scoring at the 3:21 mark to put the finishing touches on the Tigers’ victory.

Caldwell had 17 first downs and rushed for 219 yards in the contest.

Fort Campbell (2-5, 0-3) was limited to just five first downs and 68 total yards.
