Hopkinsville Competes at Daviess County Classic

The Hopkinsville boys’ cross country team was among those competing Saturday in the annual Daviess County Classic at Yellow Creek Park. More than 300 runners took part in the boys’ race.

Tyson Cavinder was the top finisher for the Tigers, finishing in 144th place.

Brendan Nagle, of John Hardin, was first with a time of 15:48.4. Drew Burden, of Madisonville-North Hopkins, finished second, with Layden Wagoner, of Webster County, placing third.

In the team competition, Hopkinsville totaled 820 points, which put them in 28th place.

Apollo won the meet with 131 points. Grayson County finished second, while Madisonville-North Hopkins placed third.

Hopkinsville finishes for the day;

Tyson Cavinder – 144th place

Kentrell Adams – 195th place
Camden Dennis – 300th place
Victor Hatcher – 301st place
Ian Rossario – 303rd place
