Heritage Christian Academy freshman Bryce Light captured a top-10 finish in his first KCAA State Cross Country Meet Saturday.
Light finished in ninth place with a time of 21:21. Saturday was part of a freshman season that has seen Light knock four minutes off his time.
Brinston Winston of Community Christian won the race with a time of 19:23 over the 3.1-mile course.
