Four Hopkinsville Lady Tigers were among the runners to make the trip to Yellow Creek Park Saturday to take part in the Daviess County Classic. Lauren Mayes was the top finisher for Hopkinsville in the event.
Mayes finished her race in a time of 21:34.0. That time would place Mayes in 48th place in the girls’ event. More than 200 runners competed.
Abby Overbay, of South Warren, won the girls’ race in a time of 18:54.5. Taylor Allen, of North Laurel, was second, while Isabella Day, of LaRue County finished third.
Hopkinsville finishes for the day:
