
The Todd County Central Lady Rebels will be looking to earn their 4th straight trip to the 4th Region volleyball tournament as the 13th District tournament gets underway Monday night. The tournament is being played at Russellville High School.
The 5:30pm match Monday night will find top-seeded Logan County taking on the host Lady Panthers. The two teams met twice during the regular season, with Logan County dominating the matchups in 3-0 sweeps. Russellville scored no more than 10 points in any set against the Lady Cougars.
The second game Monday night will find second-seeded Todd County Central taking on Franklin-Simpson. The Lady Rebels won both of the regular season contests between the two teams 3-0. Todd Central gave up no more than 19 points in any of the six sets against the Lady Wildcats.
The championship match is set for Tuesday night at 6pm at Russellville High School. Logan County has won every 13th District title since 2010. Prior to that, Logan County won five consecutive 11th District championships. Logan County won the 10th District championship in 2003 and 2004.
The last time Logan County did not win a district championship was 2002 when they were beaten in the old 4th District alignment by Franklin-Simpson in the championship match.
