
The Todd County Central volleyball team reached the 4th-Region tournament for the fourth straight season and will play Logan County in the 13th-District title match after easing past Franklin-Simpson 3-0 on Monday at Russellville High School.
The Lady Rebels beat Franklin-Simpson for the third time this season without dropping a set to improve to 23-10. Top-seeded Logan County beat hosts Russellville 3-0 in the other semifinal. The Lady Cougars are looking to win their twentieth straight title over three different districts, including eleven in a row in the 13th.
Todd Central rolled to a 25-7 win in the opening set, and with Lucy Chester and Lanie Bivins dominating at the net, the Lady Rebels cruised 25-11 in the second.
With Todd Central plagued by service errors in the third, the set was tied eight times on the way to a 13-13 score. A 6-2 run, including three aces by Bivins, put the Lady Rebels in front and on their way to a 25-17 win.
Addileigh Wofford notched 30 assists, with Chester recording 13 kills and Bivins 13. Lynlee Jones finished with six kills.
