There has not been a week since the college football season started that 6-5, 205-pound Lexington Christian quarterback Cutter Boley has not been invited to visit a college campus.
He’s been to Tennessee, Kentucky and LSU already and after taking last weekend off to attend his sister’s wedding, he will be at Penn State this weekend and then off to Michigan next weekend.
“It’s a pretty busy schedule but I enjoying watching teams play,” Boley said.
Boley has scholarship offers from Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Mississippi, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Eastern Kentucky and Kansas.
A week ago he completed 36 of 57 passes for 507 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score in a win over Somerset. Going into tonight’s game at Danville, Boley has completed 156 of 241 passes for 2,531 yards and 20 scores with 10 interceptions. He also has four rushing touchdowns.
“I try to be a kid first before a recruit but I have to make calls (to college coaches) and do things that are just part of it (recruiting),” he said. “If you want to be a high recruit, sometimes you have to do things a little different from other kids.
“I don’t let it all go to my head. It’s not the only thing I focus on but recruiting is important. It’s pretty steady and probably is at a peak right now.”
