Kentucky Men’s basketball hit the road this fall for their annual Blue-White game. Instead of the usual scrimmage being played at Rupp Arena, the Wildcats traveled to eastern Kentucky to play at Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville. The team raised $162,450 in support of flood victims from the natural disaster that occurred in eastern Kentucky late this summer. Fans in attendance had the opportunity to interact with the men’s team and get a glimpse of five-on-five action.
The white team edged the blue team, 70-67, with Antonio Reeves continuing his hot hand from the team’s Bahamas trip by scoring a game-high 27 points. Lance Ware, Oscar Tshiebwe and Sahvir Wheeler did not play due to injury, but made the trip and were able to be a part of a special day in eastern Kentucky. Vicky Graff was in attendance to capture every moment.
