She has been a big part of the Hopkinsville Lady Tiger soccer team for the past four seasons. However, the accomplishments of Hoptown senior Faith Folz extend beyond the reach of the pitch. It is those achievements that have her as this week’s Chick-fil-A ‘Triple-A.’

Faith excels in the classroom, and currently carries a 4.2 GPA. She is a dual credit/AP student and attends Gateway Academy, where she is in the Health Science pathway, and she serves as a Gateway Academy Ambassador. With all of that, I repeat, she is carrying a 4.2 GPA.

Her involvement in the school community at Hopkinsville High School is extensive to say the least. Faith is involved in the Beta Club. The National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. And for more than 80 years, it has prepared today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders. The Beta Club is designed to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

Faith has also been involved in Youth Leadership. Youth Leadership is a program that gives high school students from the area a chance to learn more about the different aspects of daily life in Christian County, such as hospitals, Fort Campbell and how they conduct military programs, as well as the Christian County Justice Center and the Christian County Jail.

Each month had a different day where students traveled from place to place exploring the different places that fit into a certain category of employment.

In addition to those learning experiences, each participant was required to complete service hours at a local organization. Faith’s group is assigned to Pryme Time at the YMCA, which is a tutoring program that helps children reach their greatest potential. They also helped with the backpack program where they helped package food for kids who may not have food over the weekend.

Faith is the current President of the Health Occupations Students of America at Gateway Academy. HOSA is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE. HOSA’s two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare to all people. HOSA’s goal is to encourage all health science instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership.

At Hopkinsville High School, Faith is a part of the Student Voice Program. The program is where students in grades 9-12 meet with school administration and are the ‘voices’ for other students and give their thoughts and opinions on how to make Hoptown better in student-wide progress.

She has also been a part of the Kentucky Youth Assembly, Key Club, National Honor Society, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Faith recently competed in the Christian County ‘Distinguished Young Women’ program. She was selected as the recipient of the ‘Spirit Award’, which is voted on by the other young ladies who were competing.

She was crowned Homecoming Queen for the 2022 football season at Hopkinsville High School

And, not to mention, she has done pretty well on the soccer field.

All combines to show why Faith Folz is quite deserving of being recognized as a Chick-fil-A ‘Triple A.’
