For the second time in three seasons, Madisonville will be playing for the regional volleyball championship. The Lady Maroons dispatched Crittenden County 25-18, 25-19, 25-16 to advance to Thursday’s title match against Henderson County.
The Lady Maroons used a strong game at the net and had zero set errors in picking up their sixth straight win over the Lady Rockets.
Drea White had 14 kills and two aces for the Lady Maroons, while region player of the year Kaitlyn Orange added eight kills and an ace.
Crittenden County got 10 kills and an ace from Katie Perryman and four kills from Jaylee Champion. Hannah Mott chipped in with three aces.
Crittenden County (19-15) has just one senior on a squad that has won five straight district titles.
Madisonville moves on to Thursday’s championship match against Henderson County. The Lady Maroons will be looking for their first regional title since 2006.
