
The Lyon County High School cheerleading squad took second place at the region tournament Saturday and will advance to next month’s state competition.
Lyon County had no deductions in scoring 72.10 points in the all-girls small squad division. However, Madisonville scored more points because the judges determined their stunts to have a higher degree of difficulty. Madisonville scored 82.45 points.
Lyon County will compete at the state competition on December 9-10 at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester.
