Two Trigg County High School cross country runners have earned postseason awards.
Fatu Crain was named to the Area 1 Second Team, while both she and Alliyah Thomas were named to the Class 2A All-Area Team.
Crain, a junior, had five top-10 finishes during the 2022 cross country season. She ran a personal best time of 21:42 at the Graves County Eagle Classic where she finished in seventh place.
She finished sixth at the region cross country meet and followed that with a 75th-place finish at the Class 2A State Meet.
Thomas was the lone senior on the Lady Wildcat team. She racked up four top-10 finishes during the season and ran a personal best time of 21:56 at the Daviess County Classic.
Thomas finished in eighth place at the region meet and crossed the finish line in 88th place at the Class 2A State Meet.
