Arne Seeger has resigned after serving a second stint as Christian County boys’ soccer coach.
“It’s been my honor and privilege to have returned to lead the Christian County Boys Soccer team the last two seasons,” Seeger said in a media release. “At this time, I need to step down as head coach as I have some recurring health issues that need my full attention. The ten-plus years that I have coached at CCHS have been some of the best in my life. The relationships that I have formed are something I will always treasure. I have absolutely loved my time coaching these great young men and I know moving forward this team will accomplish great things.“
After an 0-19-1 record in 2021, the Colonels improved to 7-10-2 in 2022 which included a double-overtime loss to Hopkinsville in the district semifinals.
Seeger was 30-51-7 in four seasons as Colonel coach from 2014-17. His 2014 team went 12-8-3 and won the Eighth District title. He stepped down following the 2017 season.
Seeger has coached soccer for 17 years, with eight of those at Christian County. He was an assistant coach for four seasons prior to succeeding Clint Willis in 2014. His career record at Christian County was 37-80-3.
