Hopkinsville Cheerleaders Take 7th in Game Day Small Division

The Hopkinsville High School cheerleaders picked up a top-10 finish Friday on the opening day of the state cheer championships at George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester. The Lady Tigers finished 7th in the Game Day Small division.

The Tigers finished with a score of 81.80, putting them just behind Sacred Heart, who claimed sixth place with a score of 82.34.

Hopkinsville was making its first state competition appearance since 1999.

Madison Central won the division with a score of 94.10. Rowan County was second with an 89.20.

Competition continued Saturday with the All-Girls Super, All-Girls Large, Coed, All-Girls Small and All-Girls Medium divisions
