Edmonson County tried to give it back to the Todd Central Rebels Friday night. The Wildcats missed four free throws in the final minute of the game, including three front ends of bonus situations, but managed to survive and pick up their sixth win in a row with a 47-45 victory over the Rebels.

Tyler Anderson made the first of two with 3.7 seconds left to give Edmonson County the two-point lead. Jamison Glass rebounded the second and got off a long shot at the basket that missed the mark as the Wildcats survived.

The game had been a back-and-forth battle through the evening. Both teams struggled to get going in the opening quarter as Edmonson County took a 7-6 lead. The Rebel defense limited the Wildcats to nine second-quarter points while on the other end Edmonson County had trouble containing Jamison Glass, who scored eight points in the quarter and helped lead Todd Central to a 20-16 lead at the break.

The Rebels would continue to lead after three quarters 32-29.

Behind the efforts of Braden Wall and Braxton Highbaugh, Edmonson County then made their move and got back to the lead in the final quarter. The Wildcats were up 46-41 when their last-minute free throw issues nearly cost them the game.

Todd Central was led by Jamison Glass with 16 points. Preston Rager was the other Rebel to hit double figures with 12.

Wall and Highbaugh were at the top of the Edmonson County scoring column with 14 points each.

Todd Central drops to 4-5 with the loss. Four of the losses have been by six points or less. The Rebels are back in action Saturday night hosting Trigg County.
