The Fort Campbell girls’ basketball team picked up its first win of the season last time out, riding a strong defensive performance to top Cloverport. But the tables were turned on Thursday night, with hosts Community Christian knocking off the Lady Falcons 48-21 for the Lady Warriors’ first victory of the campaign.
Emma Wring scored five first-quarter points to help Community Christian lead 15-6 after one. Fort Campbell could only manage another six points in the second frame and trailed 25-12 at the half.
Community Christian doubled up the Lady Falcons 10-5 in the third behind six more points for Wring, and Vash Aguilera’s four points in the fourth equaled Fort Campbell’s total to finish off the game.
The Lady Falcons slipped to 1-4 and will travel to Cloverport on Saturday looking for a season sweep.
