Fort Campbell was 3-1 in the Armstrong Tiger Classic dual tournament at Caldwell County on Saturday. That put the Falcons in fourth place in the event.
In preliminary pool play, Fort Campbell suffered its only loss of the day to eventual champion Caldwell 46-36. But the Falcons came back to beat Owensboro Catholic 72-12.
That put Fort Campbell in the Silver Pool for final-round action.
There, the Falcons topped McCracken County 50-28 and Owensboro 73-0 to place fourth overall.
Caldwell was first with Union County’s “B” team second and South Spencer, Indiana, third.
McCracken County was fifth, Owensboro sixth and Calloway County seventh.
Fort Campbell’s “B” team finished eighth.
The Falcon “B” squad beat McCracken County’s “B” team 36-18 in pool play but then lost to Owensboro 24-18 and forfeited its final match to South Spencer.
That put the Fort Campbell “B” team in the Bronze Pool.
The Falcons beat Owensboro Catholic 30-6 but fell to Calloway County 60-24.
