It took two extra periods, but the Pinson Valley Indians are 13-0 after turning back the Sandy Creek Patriots 76-75 Thursday in the West Kentucky Hoops Classic in Princeton.
Pinson Valley led 54-40 through three quarters, but Sandy Creek used a 23-9 advantage in the fourth period to send the game to overtime at 63-63.
It was 68-68 after the first extra 4-minute session.
Caleb White tossed in 31 points to lead the Indians. Terry Coner Jr. and Amari Bowens each had 13 points.
Jaren Alexander had 19 points to lead Sandy Creek, which is now 8-3. Micah Smith scored 15 points and Amari Brown had 13.
