The Lyon County Lady Lyons are hoping some Bourbon will be the cure to their recent ails on the basketball court.
Lyon County will begin play Tuesday at the Kelly Holiday Classic hosted by Bourbon County High School.
The Lady Lyons have dropped five straight games – the last three decided by a total of 11 points.
Last Thursday, the Lady Lyons trailed for most of the game in their 58-52 loss to Christian County at the West Kentucky Hoops Classic. However, they showed some resiliency by trimming an 11-point fourth quarter deficit to three points.
Lyon County and Harrison County meet Tuesday at 5:30 in a matchup of 2-6 teams. The Fillies have topped 40 points just twice this year.
Other teams in the three-day event are Woodford County (0-9), Bourbon County (4-6), Henry Clay (5-6). Robertson County (2-7), West Jessamine (3-5), and Nicholas County (3-8).
