Kentucky volleyball doesn’t have a lot of holes on next year’s roster with the returning players it has plus one of the best recruiting classes that coach Craig Skinner has had. However, picking up sophomore transfer Megan Wilson of Oklahoma is a “big” addition.

She is a 6-4 outside hitter who was named all-Big 12 last season after averaging 3.64 kills and 4.6 points per set. She hit .241 overall and was also named to the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association All-Region team.

She should bring both size and power to the net. She had 20 kills against Texas Tech last season and had 10 or more kills in 24 of 28 matches, including 11 matches with 15 or more kills.
She is also a big threat with her serve as she set an Oklahoma record with 56 service aces — ninth best in the nation. She averaged  a Big 12-high 0.55 service aces per set (ranked 14th nationally).

The Houston native was an Under Armour All-American Third Team pick in high school and had more than 430 kills in her four-year career. She also had 103 blocks, 127 digs and 41 aces in her final two high school seasons.

Wilson was ranked as a top 50 national recruit by PrepVolleyball.
