The Lyon County boys’ basketball team bounced back from an early exit from the 2nd Region All “A” tournament with an 89-79 victory at Webster County on Tuesday.
Lyon County improved to 15-5 ahead of a visit from Trigg County on Friday. The Lyons rolled to a 56-point win in Cadiz on December 13.
Jack Reddick scored six points, and Travis Perry and Brady Shoulders combined for nine, but the Lyons trailed 17-15 after the first quarter in Dixon.
Perry added eight points in the second to finish with 13 at the break and give the Lyons a 35-27 halftime advantage.
A pair of three-pointers and 12 points for Perry helped the Lyons expand the lead in the third. Carson Collins added seven points and the margin reached 20 with a quarter to play.
Evan Michalek knocked down a pair of three-pointers and scored 10 points to try to jumpstart a Webster comeback, but Perry and Reddick combined for 16 in the fourth to seal the victory.
Perry led all scorers with 35, followed by Reddick with 23, and Shoulders with 15.
Murphy finished with 27 for the Trojans, Michalek had 18, and Micah Austin scored 14.
