
Caldwell County wrestlers claimed six individual championships while placing second in the team standings at the Calloway County Laker Invitational Saturday in Murray.
The Tigers totaled 134 team points, trailing only Fort Campbell, which took top honors with 153 points. Owensboro Catholic was third with 96 points.
Caldwell’s six individual champs included Collin Teutsch, who was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler after claiming three matches at 126 pounds.

Teutsch won his first match by technical fall, 26-10. He then pinned his next opponent in 1:00 before picking up a 16-3 decision over Fort Campbell’s Dylan Linnemeier in the championship match.
Justin Klidzejs won three matches by pin at 106 pounds. That includes pinning Fort Campbell’s Ryker Kramer in 1:36 in the final.
Andre Carter went 4-0 at 113, pinning Hopkinsville’s Juan Cannon in 1:10 in the championship match. Carter had three pins on the day and won his other match by technical fall, 16-1.

Logan Brown won twice at 120 pounds after receiving a first round bye. He pinned his first opponent in 30 seconds, then won by technical fall over Jacob Jones Hamilton of Calloway County 17-2 in the championship.
Cofy Walls blitzed through three matches while winning the 132-pound weight class. His first two matches were quick ones, with Walls earning pins in 7 seconds and 12 seconds. Walls won by technical fall over Fort Campbell’s Maliq Crosby 20-5.

Timothy Nichols was first at 138. He pinned his first opponent, then won by forfeit. In the championship match, Nichols won by major decision over Sean Johnson of Kenwood 13-2.
Elijha Kirby placed third at 106, pinning Andy Cintron of Fort Campbell in 2:38 in his last match.
Aiden Asher was fourth at 285. He went 2-3 on the day.
Dawson Hoard was fifth at 165 while Brenton Springfield was sixth at 113 and Bradley Peters was sixth at 144.
