The Hopkinsville girls’ basketball team honored a trio of seniors on Thursday ahead of a 56-7 victory over Fort Campbell. The Lady Tigers’ fourth win in their last five is also the second of the season over the Lady Falcons, evening their district mark at 2-2.
Hopkinsville got all the offense it would need in the opening quarter, outscoring Fort Campbell 28-1 behind eight points each for De’Aijha Tullis and Kahtahvia Fleming.
Ta’Ria Sharber capped a 14-point first half with eight in the second quarter, including a putback with 1:55 left to trigger a running clock.
Senior Ronnajha McGee scored four of her eight points in the third quarter, and Ma’Kaya Payton came off the bench to knock down a pair of three-pointers in the fourth.
Sharber’s 18 led all scorers, followed by Tullis and Kahtahvia Fleming with ten each.
The Lady Falcons slipped to 2-12 with a visit from University Heights coming up on Monday.
Hopkinsville improved to 6-11 and will host Todd County Central on Monday.
